I COULD have just changed out the window, but no, not me.
Going thru that much trouble,
I may as well add some insulation while the room is empty.

Insulated.
Should be warm this winter.

Drywalled.
I am worked to the bones.

Wall painted. Floor finished. Window trimmed.
Back to where I started, but with a new window.
Aaahhhhh...

 When I feel like I should be doing something,

I drag out this picture of the back yard when I first moved in

 - June 2006. It was a "fixer upper."

 April 2008. Wow. 

I forget how new it looked.

Young and fresh, like I was.
"Park-like setting" a realtor would say.

Overgrown and indifferent. Like I am now.

Could use some trimming, but meh.
I prefer a more wild yard to a park-like one.

Backyard was the priority, but eventually I got around to the inside.

Took out a wall. Sanded the floors.

Put in a sliding door, and so on.

Bob and Cookie enjoy doing nothing too.

Funny... The dog bed is in the same exact spot.

Possum House

Getting the Possum House ready

Possum House on the right . Back garage (new cat house) on the left.

Built originally as a barbeque house, it has come in handy.
Now a Possum House.
Formerly Cat House.
Formerly Tortoise House.
Formerly Raven House.
Formerly garden shed.
Formerly work out room, as if.

 Cookie was busy doing other things. Squirrel!

The cage is in the back... ready to be opened for egress. Branches and 2x4 highways allow exit to explore the larger world of the possum house. Weight bench makes a good place to climb. At least it will be used for something.

Fig and avocado branches will also make for good climbing lessons. The old built in barbecue will be good for hiding and sleeping spots during the day. 

Waiting in a 5 gallon bucket for the tank to be set up in the possum house is stressful. Some even "played possum". Different variations in fur types. Three have white guard hair, 2 don't. Fascinating.
